Not much action going on in this race at all everyone is pretty well spread out.

However Lax and F. Jansley were in a heated battle back and forth and after some arm waving at each other Lax blatantly came in a rammed Jansely. This however did Lax no good and he lost a ton of ground. I felt it should have been a black flag, however one was not given. This is not how we race in America and that type of racing is uncalled for in my opinion. I previously had a battle with Jansley were we were swapping positions back and forth and we both always gave each room. Lax was in the wrong on this one. I am expecting some fireworks after the race!

While I am on my soapbox, everytime Grooten gets passed no matter how clean it was all I saw was his arms flying in the air, come on dude, you are running #1 right now please act like it!

Nadaes here actually had a strategy in mind here. It cost him a couple points in this race but what I figured out that he did was he came into the pits with about 20 laps to go, and he changed karts... into something worse.. and about ten laps later he came in again and made another kart swap to another crap kart. Now I thought to myself, why would he do that when he had a solid 8th place in his race.. but afterwards I figured it out. You can't drive the same kart twice in this championship, so he just eliminated 3 bad karts for his final two races tomorrow, which leaves only the better ones to draw. Pretty smart if you ask me. Wink

He may get surprised...

I was going to try the same thing, and have my guys do the same at the USIKC last year, but was informed by the marshalls (when I asked about this) and they said no, that would not be allowed/be legal.

Interesting to see the decision here...

Great updates everyone, especially my man Jeff! Good on ya!

Wish I was there everyone, but I was bit by the job change/time off bug again this year, and was forced to sit out. Hope to make it to Europe next year, as I had a blast in '08!

Good luck to everyone tomorrow!

Jeff,

I'm not on-site, so there might be corrections/changes/rulings I don't know of, but just to be sure, can you please double check following numbers:

Race 3 - Group 3 (session 188605).
The screen gives P6 Repella and P7 Lax.
This would mean Repella 19 points and Lax 18 points.
Cross-referencing your list and points here with the PDF posted by Werner, you seem to have that reversed.
In your list, that adds up to Repella with 119,5 while I think it should be 120,5.
Your list, Lax has 128 while I think it should be 127.

Also, I see in your list Eugenio Baranzini getting 12 points for race 7, but I can't find him anywhere on the result screens.

To be clear, I'm not criticizing. You're doing a great job!
But I know from experience numbers can start dancing before your eyes and it's always safe to double-check. Wink

Hey guys,

I'm confused. After the seven group races, I thought the entire field was put together for the Semi-Final (race 8A), with the top-25 in points after that race advancing to the Final. That being said, Jeff's post has the field broken into three groups for the Semi. Can someone please clarify ASAP, so I can make sure the Saturday race report is correct before posting. THANKS!!

Wiiliam Thannks for keeping an eye on this! However in the case of Repelle and Lax. It was determined T the checkered flag Repella made a bad pass on Lax and I had to reverse the finishing positions, therefore that is correct.

In the case of Baranzini, he wa in the race however his kart was not picked up by the timing system and the track officials did tell me he was in 12th position, therefore that is correct also. Thanks for double checking!

Allan, They did away with the Semi's before the event and just made it a straight 8 races for everyone with the top25 going on to the main.
